SalaryGrid is a free H-1B salary database built from the Labor Condition Application (LCA) disclosure files the US Department of Labor publishes every quarter. It covers 3.3M filings from FY2020–FY2025, with every wage converted to an annual figure and compared with the government's prevailing wage for that job and location. Search it on the Data page, or see how pay has moved on the Insights page.
SalaryGrid is a free search tool for H-1B salary data. It holds 3.3 million Labor Condition Application (LCA) wage filings published by the US Department of Labor for fiscal years 2020 to 2025 (October 2019 through September 2025), cleaned and searchable by employer, job title, role level, city and state.
Every figure comes from the public LCA disclosure files released quarterly by the Department of Labor's Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC). An employer must file an LCA stating the wage it will pay before it can sponsor an H-1B, H-1B1 or E-3 worker.
Not exactly. An LCA wage is the minimum the employer commits to pay, and it must be at least the prevailing wage. Actual base salary is often higher, and LCA wages never include bonus, equity or other compensation.
The prevailing wage is the Department of Labor’s benchmark for an occupation in a specific area, set at one of four experience levels (Level I to Level IV). An H-1B employer must pay at least the prevailing wage or the wage it pays similar workers, whichever is higher. SalaryGrid shows how far each offered wage sits above that floor.
All wages are converted to an annual figure. Some employers enter an annual salary under the wrong pay unit, such as hourly or weekly; SalaryGrid corrects those using the prevailing wage as an anchor, and hides the remaining filings that look like typos by default.
